Sorry I Suck At This So Much!

Posting has been a little off for the last couple of weeks because I’ve been moving! I won’t tell you where I am, but just know that it is as average as the last place, but different. It’s a different kind of average.

Right now I’m jamming out to Carrie Underwood and hanging posters. A lot of them are Johnny Depp. I like Johnny Depp, (even if the poster thing was a coincidence. I like Alice in Wonderland–in which he was the Mad Hatter, and I like Pirates of the Caribbean.) So sue me.

I have been trying to think of a story for you guys so I can entertain you with averageness from my travels, but unfortunately my mind seems to be dropping the ball. I’m like a goldfish–I have a one second memory–and even worse than that, I have the attention span of a rock. I like things that sparkle. And pens. I like pens.

Pens and Johnny Depp apparently.

Okay, cute story! My grandmother lives in Kentucky, so when I was visiting this past trip she brought me to her church–she’s a Baptist. Yes, I know what you’re thinking: A Baptist in Kentucky?! Who would have thunk it?! But, it’s true. Anyway, they have this thing called Grandparent’s Day at their church where all the grandparents get to introduce their grandkids to the entire church.

Well, if you haven’t guessed already, my average abilities make me socially awkward in front of large groups of people. So I just smiled and waved, and tried not to fall on my face (which for me takes serious concentration).

It was the first time she was ever able to introduce one of her grandchildren at that event because we live far away. She was very excited. She also showed her entire church a YouTube video of me singing the National Anthem….not sure how I feel about that….at least I wasn’t present for that one!

So I guess today’s post was average in its randomness. Sorry about that.

Forever and Average,

Mel
